1 ripe avocado
1–2 slices bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or whatever you like)
½–1 tbsp olive oil or soft butter (optional)
Salt
Black pepper
A squeeze of lemon or lime (optional but really good)
Step-by-step
Toast the bread
Toast 1–2 slices until golden and crisp.
Prep the avocado
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit.
Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
Mash with a fork (smooth or chunky, your choice).
Season with:
A pinch of salt
A little black pepper
A squeeze of lemon/lime if you have it
Assemble
Spread a thin layer of olive oil or butter on the toast (optional).
Spoon the mashed avocado on top and spread evenly.
Finish & eat
Add a final sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Slice, if you want, and enjoy right away.

Pick one or mix a few:

Fried egg (sunny side up or over easy) on top
Boiled egg, sliced
A sprinkle of grated cheese (cheddar, feta, or parmesan)
